Underwater Photography - Brian Ungar
The inspiration for this shoot came from the music video for “Runnin' (Lose It All)” by Naughty Boy, Beyoncé and Benjamin Arrow. The video shows two people in the ocean running (or rather, swimming), using the ocean floor and surface of the water to try to reach each other. To me, water has always had a comforting feeling of ease, lending the sense of flying and flexibility in motion. I had two good friends and fellow swimmers model, in effect taking ordinary people in regular clothes but putting them in water to provide this sense of freedom. The models had the ability to create different levels of depth and to play with the bubbles in their surroundings.
