InsideOut is a creative outlet for Lower Merion High School students to both inspire and be inspired by artwork. It serves as a platform to display and discuss art, including work within the Lower Merion Community and beyond.

Eli: "Art is an important opportunity to express yourself. Classes like math and science only have one answer, but art is expressive and gives you to freedom to “answer” it many ways. I never thought I could art until [I took] photography.”
Linden: "[I] like to draw animals the most."
Jason Potten: "Art is a way for students to express themselves. The freedom to create also especially helps middle schoolers find themselves."
Analiese has been taking metal arts since freshman year. She thinks it is really cool how anything can be created into jewelry.
Willa: "[I] like to draw buildings the best."
Yezen, the boy in striped shirt, likes painting with colors the best. "Art is better than math."
Isaac likes weaving the best.
Miss Rusoff: “Art is like air for some kids, they can’t live without it.”
Violet likes pottery more than drawing.
Veronica Ellers, Principal of Gladwyne Elementry School, says "Students seem happy and to really like art. [We] switched from half hour classes to one hour, [which is] way more beneficial."
Samantha, a Junior at Harriton, prefers fashion design over painting and drawing. "Art is important as it gives students opportunity to express oneself and gives a break from other hard classes."
Dan Halprin, Director of Education, says "Art is essential in schools. One of the few classes that actually teaches students how to think instead of buy and sell, which is what most other subjects are focused on now."
Jordyn's favorite class is at, and she likes drawing and making designs with circles.
Lamina, a 2nd grader, likes to think about art and come up with ideas for pieces and actually create them!
Elizabeth, a 5th grader, loves drawing and is looking forward to making art in middle school.
Stephen likes to draw landscapes the most.
Talan likes making abstract art and taking the time to have fun! Art is a fun break from other core classes.
