Cuba - Maddie Baker
Cuba has been a nation under heavy government rule ever since their revolution in which Fidel Castro took power in 1959. Three years post, Eisenhower severed diplomatic relations with Cuba. Kennedy then made the embargo “permanent” and over the past 50 years, it has cost Cuba approximately $1.126 trillion dollars. Very recently, America reopened Cuba for visitors. I went there this past summer and documented what I saw in film and digital images.
